Unchained

UnChained teaches at-risk youth to train and socialize homeless dogs in need of adoption. In return, the youth develop core values of patience, respect and responsibility for themselves and others. When the youth train dogs who may share similar experiences of neglect, abandonment or abuse, they can begin to feel empathy and compassion for others, while improving their own sense of self worth. As the youth are able to help change the life of a shelter dog, by giving him a second chance at a better life, they can begin to take the risk in believing they can do the same for themselves.
