JW House in Santa Clara provides a home-away-from-home for families, whether they live across town or hundreds of miles away, who are living with the challenges of medical crisis. JW House strives to give a fully- inclusive experience to each day use and overnight guest, making them feel like they have truly arrived home. Founded by Jan Willem Knapen while a student at Bellarmine College Preparatory and facing his own journey with brain cancer, JW House has hosted more than 50,000 individual visits since opening in 2008, providing families with a place of hope, hospitality and healing when they need it most.
