Fuji Towers

Fuji Towers, Inc. is a non-profit corporation offering affordable housing to low-income seniors. Established in 1976, Fuji Towers was an altruistic concept conceived by members of San Jose’s Japantown community and leaders of the San Jose Buddhist Church, as their way of giving back to its senior citizen community.

Today, the 140-unit property, which sits in the heart of Japantown, houses more than 250 seniors from diverse backgrounds; a reflection of the City of San Jose’s own diversity. Fuji Towers housing offers low-income seniors furnished apartments at affordable rents through subsidy programs with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other local agencies. It is the organization’s goal to provide perpetual affordable housing for the next several decades.
