OPERATION: CARE AND COMFORT, an all-volunteer organization,  was founded in San Jose in 2003. Our mission is to provide comfort to troops deployed overseas and veterans and their families here at home, regardless of where they served or length of service. We have mailed over 1.2 million pounds of care packages overseas. We also assist and honor military/veteran families through our Tickets for Troops and Adopt a Military Family programs.

Annually, thousands of volunteers help us with donation drives, letter writing campaigns, care package assemblies and more. Bay Area sports teams (and season ticket holders) donate tickets, and hold military appreciation events.
